Sweet Cupcake

Sweet Cupcake
I did this card for my daughter's college dorm floor - they are called the sweet cupcakes. The resident in charge of the floor had made cute cupcakes with each girl's name, hometown and their major and had posted them on their doors. It was quite fun to read all the names. The resident had also posted a big birthday chart so I am trying to make cupcake birthday cards for my daughter to give to her
friends on the floor during the year.

Sweet treats are also the theme at Pile it On this week (beginning on Sunday August 21). The prize is a gift certificate from Simon Says and you know how many fabulous things they have in their store.

Recently I commented on an adorable teacher's set that someone had made. I had loved it and wrote how great it was. She was a complete stranger but I really loved the set and she was so gracious to offer to give it to me. Well, I received it this week and it is so lovely and I am so happy. I cannot wait to put it on my desk when school starts in another 12 days. The card below is a darling "telegram" set from the Craft's Meow - that is my thank you card (via snail mail) to this generous lady.

Blue Floral Bag ...

Stay Cool and Use Blue...
This beautiful floral bag (just right to put your pretty cards in as a gift) is all about blue. Blue is the theme at Pile it On this week beginning on Sunday August 14. Just use any three shades of blues somewhere on your project - it doesn't have to be all blue. We need some "cool" colors after all this summer heat.

Don't you just love the bag and the flower embellishment too. The flower was made dimensional by rolling the petals back over a small pencil. I also made a little set of matching cards using a pretty flower template. These were made from templates from the Pile it On sponsor this week which is Krisi's Kreations. She has really cool ideas!

 The Creative Details:
